The Pyragogy App emerges from a simple, yet radical question:

What if books could talk back?

Rooted in the values of peeragogy, universal design for learning, and co-creative inquiry, this app is not just a chatbot. It is a living interface designed to transform how we relate to knowledge — shifting from static consumption to dynamic dialogue.

We believe that learning happens best when it is:

• Dialogical rather than didactic
• Open rather than prescriptive
• Co-created rather than delivered

The app embodies these principles by enabling multi-voice interaction with texts, inviting learners to reflect, question, and discover together — with the support of AI agents tuned to different perspectives.

🔧 Functionality: A Living Knowledge Interface

At its core, the Pyragogy App is:

• A RAG-powered chatbot with access to selected foundational texts.

🧪 Currently, the app is in active testing with The Peeragogy Handbook as its foundational dataset. More sources will follow as the platform evolves.

• An interface offering diversified AI personas, including:
  • 🎓 Academic: evidence-based and methodical
  • 💡 Explainer: accessible and engaging
  • 🧠 Critical: analytical and challenging
  • 🤔 Socratic: reflective and inquiry-driven

The system supports:

• Real-time interaction with contextually enriched responses
• Multiple LLM backends (experimental)
• The ability to choose AI providers and test different models
• Integration of your own API keys for more powerful performance

⚠️ Note: The app is still in prototype phase, though already fully functional. Some free models may occasionally be offline — simply try another from the list.

We highly recommend creating a free account with OpenRouter, which allows unlimited access to free models directly through the chatbot.

🚀 What’s Emerging: A Platform for Co-Learning

We envision this tool as a co-learning companion — not a replacement for teachers or peers, but a catalyst for reflection and exploration.

Upcoming directions include:

• Quadriphonic dialogues (multi-agent perspectives on the same topic)
• Visual annotation layers and reflective journaling
• Integration with collective knowledge-building workflows

Although we’re still in the testing phase, our goal is to complete the app and make it publicly available.

And because we love to imagine and challenge the future, we’re also exploring tokenization of contributions.

Not only do we aim to reach a break-even point — we plan to redistribute any profits with active community members by tokenizing the value of contributions.

Frankly, we’re a bit tired of the 90:9:1 rule. Starting September, our 1% contributors — those who create contents, fuel the group, and move the vision forward — will be rewarded and compensated.

The remaining 99%? We’ll see what happens. 😉
