Obliqo — Overview

You wrote something. You stared at it. The pre-publish anxiety set in — the part where the prose looked fine the first three readings, and somewhere on the fourth you started seeing the soft spots.

Obliqo is what you press at that moment.

A pressure-test for written drafts. You give it your text — paste it, point it at a URL, run it from the Chrome extension on whatever you’re writing. Four agents read it in parallel. None of them sees the others’ reading. A synthesis layer then reads all four and writes you a single brief.

The independence is mechanical, and that’s the whole point. The agents don’t coordinate and can’t soften toward a house consensus — the friction comes from the architecture, not from hostility. Four separate axes cross your draft at different angles. Where they land on the same spot, that spot is often load-bearing for the reader too.

But not always — and this is the part that matters. Four readings can agree because they’re right, or because they share the same blind spot. From the inside, those look identical. So the agreement isn’t the verdict.

Your job — the one part no agent does — is to read the findings and judge which pressure is real and which is just the same flaw echoing across the choir.

This is Pyragogy commitment #4 — Friction is productive: disagreement and critique are essential for epistemic selection. Obliqo inherits the conviction that critique drives selection, and corrects one thing the slogan leaves open: among independent critics, agreement is a question, not an answer. The principle stops being a slogan when you have a button for it. See the method for how the four-agent independence is implemented, and the paper for the formal treatment.

  1. Install Obliqo from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open the extension in Gmail, a Google Doc, a GitHub PR, or any text field on the web.
  3. Paste your draft, or point Obliqo at the URL of a published piece.
  4. Wait. Four agents read in parallel; then a synthesis brief comes back — the main tension across the readings, a Revision Score (urgency and effort), one concrete next move, and one open question only you can resolve.

Read the four separately. Then read the synthesis. Push back where you should. Whatever survives is what you ship.

Note on install. Chrome may flag Obliqo as “not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing” the first time. That’s a developer-newness signal, not a risk signal. Click Continue to install.

Obliqo Free runs 5 pressure-tests per month. Obliqo Pro removes the cap.

The product lives at obliqo.pyragogy.org.

It works best on something you actually care about. The agents don’t know the difference, but you will.
